Role: Year End Accountant - Local Authority experience is essential
Location: East Midlands - Hybrid working
Type: 6 months ongoing
Daily rate: £400-£600 per day
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Interim Year End Accountant for a Local Authority based in the East Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage processes for preparing, reporting, and monitoring the Council's budgets
2. Oversee the preparation of Final Accounts
3. Produce and enhance the Statement of Accounts
4. Assist with the development and improvement of the accounting system
5. Act as the key contact for Central Government, auditors, and suppliers
6. Provide financial advice
7. Statutory Returns and Grant claims
Person Specification:
Experience in local government finance, budget preparation, and statutory reporting.
