Reed HR are proud to be recruiting for a HR Advisor to support a UK leading specialist importer and distributor based in Newport. This is a standalone HR role where you will oversee HR operations and maintain a positive culture within the organisation in a truly generalist role!
What you'll be doing:
1. Maintain time and absence management records and assist line managers with processes and communications with employees.
2. Provide advice on benefits for employees and managers, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
3. Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
4. Administer employment offers, contracts, and new starter packs.
5. Assist in writing and reviewing job descriptions, preparing interview materials, and overseeing recruitment processes.
6. Oversee the assessment, delivery, and evaluation of training and development programs.
7. Administer contractual and payroll amendments in coordination with relevant managers and departments.
8. Maintain HR Information Systems, ensuring accurate employee records.
9. Support change management processes and apply HR and business knowledge with appropriate decision-making skills.
10. Monitor, review, and update HR policies and processes, implementing changes where necessary.
11. Develop HR policies and procedures to support employee wellbeing and legal compliance.
12. Remain approachable and supportive to all employees, fostering a team spirit across the organisation.
What you'll need:
1. Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of HR operations and legal compliance.
3. Ability to manage complex employee relations cases.
