HWF are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interim Financial Controllerto join a dynamic and rapidly growing private equity backed company based in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to take their next contract and oversee the financial operations of multiple entities within a dynamic and fast growing business.
As the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, controlling, and strategy across a group of companies. You will work closely with senior management to ensure the companies are financially robust and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the financial accounting function for an international entity.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
* Develop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.
* Prepare forecasts and budgets, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and day-to-day financial operations.
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
* Provide financial insight and analysis to senior management to support decision-making.
* Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development.
* Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
* At least 5 years’ experience in a senior financial management role.
* Proven track record in managing the finances of multiple companies or divisions.
* Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Experience in developing financial strategies to improve business performance
