A highly respected and well-established secondary school in Epping is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join its permanent staff from September 2025. The school has a strong tradition of academic excellence and is renowned for its supportive and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking Mathematics department that prides itself on delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies
Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities and extra-curricular activities
Maintain high expectations of students and uphold the school’s values and standards
Requirements:
A recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Mathematics
Proven ability to inspire, motivate and engage students of all abilities
Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills
A commitment to continuous professional development
The right to work in the UK
Desirable:
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics
Familiarity with current developments in Maths education and curriculum
