- and right now we are looking to recruit for a brand-new role as a Health and Fitness Assistant which will consist of Reception and Health and Fitness duties. In the Reception role you will be the first point of contact for our customers. Your role is to provide concise customer information and service with regards to the facility and its offerings. The role will involve a high level of customer interaction, which will be face to face, emails and dealing with queries over the telephone. In addition, there will be times when you will be required to assist other members of staff.
As the Fitness Instructor you will inspire our members to achieve their goals, deliver Group Fitness, Small Group Training sessions and have the opportunity to deliver Personal Training sessions. You will coach members on effective outlined Health & Fitness programmes appropriate to their needs and advise on the safe use of our exercise equipment. At all times you will help create a community orientated environment building clubs within clubs and always deliver excellent customer service. You will help in facilitating a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent training and development opportunities, as well as a free membership to our leisure centres.
Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust About you We are looking to hear from candidates that have previous experience of dealing face to face with customers in a busy environment including sales experience if possible. You will have good communication and customer care skills, have a maturity and calmness to work under pressure, the ability to handle cash and maintain customer records, as well as a good telephone manner and confident with using IT systems. It is essential that you have a level 2 Fitness instruction for you to be considered for this role and be actively working towards advanced instructor qualification (level 3).
