Plus, membership of Teachers’ Pension Scheme About the Role The successful candidate in this role will work with our existing Digital Technologies team to lead on delivery of the Gateway Level 3 Diploma qualification in Software Development. This delivery will be entirely online and therefore can be undertaken remotely from the college although communication and collaboration with the staff team onsite will be essential to undertaking the role. This role exists to deliver the taught element of the program as well as to provide tutorial support and assessment guidance to learners. Teaching and tutorial support will take place in the evening (1800-2030) as well as during the usual college day (0900-1630) and can be flexible to meet the commitments of the successful candidate. About the Person To undertake this role candidates will demonstrate experience in the actual development of web applications and a good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, Flask and Django frameworks, UX design, testing strategies and good practice in documentation. At the same time, the candidate must have the communication and organisational skills needed to support learners to be successful in their assessments as learners will need to be guided and encouraged not only in the required outcome (a great looking, usable app that meets the brief) but also in the process (good practice in design, development, testing and documentation) and to do so they will need the support of an experienced professional in the field.
