Closing Date 2025-01-13 Job Advert Job Title: Scheduler (12 Months FTC) Location: Durrington, West Sussex (Hybrid- 3 office and 2 WFH) Salary: £25,900 Hours: 38 hours per week / Hybrid working We have an excellent opportunity here at Southern Water for a Scheduler, if you’re an organised individual who has excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you As a scheduler, you will need to create and manage work schedules by deciding how to order both planned & reactive work and influencing what resources are needed to achieve optimum field resource productivity and adherence to service level agreements. Your key accountabilities would include: • Scheduling of reactive & planned work during core business hours, ensuring jobs are dispatched in a prioritised manner, and relevant contractors/operational teams are utilised efficiently • Regular communication with District Managers/Field Performance Managers to review area performance • Flexible approach to scheduling and reacting to emergency situations, to prevent customer and compliance issues. • Monitor and manage field team whereabouts to ensure adherence to schedule • Support and assist the Controller during both normal operations and disruptive events, to deliver the optimum service that meets the needs of the business and our customers. • To set customer expectations by keeping customers informed of the progress of their enquiry via telephone contact • To accurately record all information necessary to resolve open work orders, incidents, issues or customer complaints to enable trend and management information. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be using a variety of tools such as emails, excel and teams -this is key in addition to working on multiple computer systems that we use internally such as SAP, Ellipse, Lightfoot, Water Works.
