What You’ll Be Doing
Join us on this mission as a Parachute Packer where you’ll pack new build parachutes and drogues and repack parachutes. The team is proud of quality levels involved with their processes which contribute to the success of ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives.
Aspects Of The Role Include To
1. Pack parachutes and drogues in accordance with technical specifications.
2. Drawing of parts from satellite stores.
3. Recording of batch numbers and completion of history sheets.
4. Checking parachutes for flaws and noting minor flaws on the history sheet.
5. Preparing parachutes for loading into the press.
6. Efficient utilisation of operating presses to ensure parachutes and drogues are compressed in accordance with the drawings.
7. Work with development programmes on working methods and specifications of head boxes, parachutes and drogues including prototypes and test pieces.
Characteristics & Skills
1. Experience of parachute packing a distinct advantage.
2. Experience of working from Technical Drawings and specifications.
3. Engineering/manufacturing background.
4. Meticulous good attention to detail.
5. Responsible and conscientious.
6. Team player.
