Business Systems, an integral part of IT, is a newly created capability at Silverstone whose mission is to drive the digital transformation of Silverstone over the next decade. Working closely with our business partners we aim to provide state of the art solutions for encompassing; cloud & edge computing, 5G networks, generative AI, social media, digital trust and cybersecurity, digital twins & data and sustainability but always with the customer at the core of our thinking.
JOB PURPOSE
The Solutions Architect (eCommerce) will be responsible for leading the review and updating of Silverstone’s online presence across all channels to support our track, MICE and retail operations. This will an exciting, high profile and high impact role transforming Silverstone to a state-of-the-art multi-channel business. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and wider cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and external stakeholders, to understand their requirements and translate them into effective, scalable, and secure IT systems and architectures.
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to demonstrate their understanding of Silverstone’s existing online presence and provide views on how this can be improved or updated.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsive for designing detailed technical solutions to achieve business aims, including budget and project milestones.
* Responsible for leading the solution design process and creating associated documentation including Business Requirement Document (BRD), High Level Design (HLD) and Solution Design.a
* Ensures alignment of individual software projects with overall business strategy, technology architecture and linked projects
* Collaborates closely with development teams and third parties to oversee solution implementation.
* Evaluates project constraints to identify alternatives, mitigate risks, and potentially re-engineer processes.
* Assures quality of solution including alignment to technology standards, security compliance and service & support.
* Acts as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Are a Subject Matter Expert in both technology and business processes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Mandatory experience includes web transformation projects incorporating the following: eCommerce, loyalty, booking & reservations and CRM.
* Experience of providing consultancy to the business, designing, and monitoring complex architectures and delivering architectural solutions to solve business requirements and concerns Develop, coach and bring teams together through collaborative working.
* Experience of end-to-end solution architecture delivering eCommerce, CRM and digital applications
* 2+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect within hospitality, events, retail (or similar e.g. media, travel)
* Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing, stakeholder management.
* Strong hands-on implementation skills in contemporary technologies and methodologies (Cloud, Integrations / APIs), comfortable working at the detailed level in complex technical environments
* Modelling processes, systems, data and infrastructure in UML, Archimate and/or other modelling languages
* Systems architecture creation techniques, wide range of available technologies.
* Self-motivation to drive through a programme that reconciles and meets complex and competing demands.
* Experience working to agile methodologies.
* Experience of working within a multi-channel hospitality/retail environment
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
* Establish good working relationships with IT Team;
* Establish good working relationships with all members of the wider Business;
* Have meaningful discussions with the rest of the Business Systems Team to support them and receive support for your role;
* Develop any relationship needed with 3rd party suppliers in order to make the most of your interaction with the Business Systems and Service Desk
