The Role Ricardo's Performance Products division are seeking a part time HR Advisor (up to 26 hours per week) to provide operational level support to managers. Support day to day HR transactional activities, including recruitment, new starters, induction, pay and benefits, appraisal, absence management, discipline, grievance, payroll, benefits, leavers, etc. Key Responsibilities Provide guidance and support to line managers on performance management, absence, disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee wellbeing. Advise managers on best HR practices to ensure consistency and compliance. Take a proactive role in employee engagement and wellbeing, using data to drive targeted actions that foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Support local recruitment campaigns, including interview participation. Manage and deliver the local onboarding process for all new starters. Review and improve HR processes and procedures, ensuring policy implementation and compliance. Support HR coordinators in maintaining accurate records and enhancing HR databases and systems. Prepare, analyse, and distribute HR data, reports, and communications using appropriate tools. Assist with month-end reporting, including Group, Board, and management team reports. Oversee salary benchmarking, the salary review process, and annual employee benefits renewal. Contribute to HR projects as required, providing support to line managers on all HR-related aspects. Key Competencies and Experience Significant experience in an HR environment, with proven expertise in a generalist HR role. Proactive and confident in decision-making at line manager level, with guidance as needed. Key point of contact at our Shoreham site, providing expert advice and support to managers. Strong organisational skills to manage operational responsibilities while contributing to wider business initiatives. Thorough understanding of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business. Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively. Discreet handling of sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Proficient in Microsoft tools, including: Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint CIPD Level 5 qualification (minimum). HR experience in an engineering, automotive, or manufacturing environment is desirable. Knowledge of WTW benchmarking or similar tools is desirable.
