Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a lead role in ensuring the pastoral care of their year group, working with the Key Stage 4 Director to support all students and staff, to maintain high standards across the year group and to communicate effectively with parents/carers. S/he will value all children and strive at all times to ensure the best outcomes, both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will have:
* a proven track record in working with young people and understanding their needs
* a working knowledge of Child Protection procedures and the implementation of school policies relating to behaviour and student welfare
* excellent organisational skills
* the ability to support and motivate students
* the ability to work effectively with colleagues as part of a team and individually
* the ability to relate to children and other adults
* good literacy and numeracy skills
* the ability to use a computer effectively and the desire to learn new computer skills
