AACA & ACCA carry out a range of Adult and Child Social Care Assessments for Local Authorities, Solicitors, and the Courts.
We are a growing and evolving organisation and due to an increase in enquiries we are looking to grow our Panel of Independent Consultant Psychiatrists who are happy to work within Legal Aid Rates for the following assessments:
* Mental Health Assessments for DoLS Assessments currently primarily in Essex
* Forensic Risk Assessments

Pay Rates:
* £70 per hour Assessments
* £40 per hour travel time
* £0.45 pence per mile
* £190 Section 12 Assessment Flat Rate

The role
* Identify Specific Risks as instructed and identify potential outcomes of Risk Behaviour to others.
* Carry out Mental Health Assessments, collaborating with our BIA’s for the purposes of DoLS Assessments in line with Statutory Requirements, enabling us to fully complete Quality Assured DoLS Assessments within 7 or 28 days statutory requirements.
* Ensure all Mental Health Assessments comply with the MCA and relevant Codes of Practice.
* To carry out robust, clear Forensic Risk Assessments of either Adults or Children depending upon your specialist area.
The Responsibilities
* To always act in a Person-Centred way.
* To provide evidence-based reports with clear formulations for outcomes of assessments.
* Complete high quality, legible reports, which stand up to scrutiny.
* Raise any concerns promptly and appropriately.
* Undertake all work accepted in the timescales you agree to
* Work in a professional manner always.
* Work with individuals as flexibly as possible, ensuring the individual can be as involved as possible and make adjustments to approach wherever necessary.
* Submit reports and invoices using agreed timescales.
* Support us to always work within Safer Recruitment Principles and provide any documentary evidence required.
Essential Requirements
* Consultant Psychiatrist with Section 12 approval in particular for work in Essex
* Registered with the GMC with a licence to practice.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Have an excellent knowledge of Safeguarding
* Have a full enhanced DBS and be registered with the update service.
* Hold Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance
* Be registered with the Information and Commissioners Office (ICO)
* Highly computer literate
* Work in a courteous, professional, and positive manner
* Have excellent communication grammar and reporting skills.
* Provide a laptop or Computer for the purposes of completing your independent work.
