Manage and oversee power generation projects from planning to close-out for a renown OEM.
The role includes delivering to contract requirements, quality, safety standards, and customer expectations. Lead high-performance project teams and ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead single projects ($50M) or act as Deputy Project Manager on larger programs.
2. Communicate project health/status with stakeholders and senior management; document lessons learned.
3. Identify risks, issues, and opportunities; develop and execute mitigation strategies.
4. Develop project baseline income statements and coordinate cost reporting/analysis.
5. Oversee integrated project schedules, resource allocation, and critical path tracking.
6. Manage scope expansion, change orders, pricing strategies, and execution plans.
7. Apply project management methodologies to meet deliverables; monitor changes via formal control processes.
8. Conduct internal/external meetings, disseminate information, and ensure adherence to safety/quality standards.
9. Approve vendor/subcontractor invoices; prepare change orders and close-out documentation.
Additional Duties
1. Monitor schedules, budgets, and specifications to ensure timely project completion.
2. Build partnerships across departments to align resources and commitments.
3. Facilitate status meetings with stakeholders; distribute minutes/action items.
4. Resolve conflicts within the team; provide performance feedback to management.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; 4–6 years managing large power generation projects.
2. PMP certification preferred but not mandatory.
3. Must have led power project teams as Project Manager.
4. Financial skills, oversight of engineering and construction.
5. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficient in interpreting technical documents and applying mathematical concepts.
