We are recruiting for a specialist Marketing and Communications Manager to play a key role in our award-winning Partnerships and Communities function. This unique team collaborates with leading brands, innovators, and public figures to developing groundbreaking programmes and campaigns that tackle inequalities for people who draw on social care.
Our work has included:
1. Creating innovative physical activity and life-skills programmes—from our Learning Disability Super League with Rugby League, to major partnerships with UEFA Women’s Euro, Rugby League World Cup, and World Para Swimming Championships.
2. Campaigns that inspire independence and social change- such as leading the social care programmes for Save Our Wild Isles, inspired by Sir David Attenborough’s acclaimed documentary, working with WWF, National Trust, and RSPB.
3. Developing new innovations - including What-To-Do.co.uk, a unique digital community that enables people to live their dreams and develop new skills, with diverse experiences from cookery classes with legendary chef Rosemary Shrager to celebrating football with Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan.
4. Leading influential training, policy and campaigns, addressing issues such as disability hate crime, accessibility, and political rights.

About the role.
This role manages the communications and marketing needs of Community Integrated Care’s Partnerships and Communities function. Key responsibilities include:
10. Delivering content creation and communications requirements for our programmes
11. Ensuring that our programmes reach, inspire and engage our target audiences
12. Leading marketing strategies that enable us to attract new partners and funding.
13. Raising the profile of our work, to enhance Community Integrated Care’s reputation and attract further growth
This is a full-time, permanent post and you can be based anywhere in the North West but must be available to travel to our head office in Widnes at least once a week.
Day to Day (list not exhaustive see attached job description)
14. Lead the strategic development of marketing and communications, ensuring each project has a clear strategy aligned with organisational and project goals. This requires collaboration with departmental teammates, Community Integrated Care’s in-house internal and external communications team, and key project stakeholders
15. Oversee or create marketing and communication assets to support projects, partnerships, and campaigns.
16. Identify media opportunities and develop quality content to enhance visibility, engagement, and income generation.
17. Actively contribute to the identification and securing of strategic partnerships, funding, and ambassadors.
18. Manage project deliverable, ensuring efficient, high-quality delivery within scope, budget, and deadlines.

Our ideal Candidate
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge (list not exhaustive see attached JD)
19. Degree: Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another relevant subject.
20. Collaboration: An effective team-player and collaborator, able to work effectively with in-house teams, partners and suppliers.
21. Strategy design: Experience designing strategies which are sensitive to the needs and perspectives of the audience and represent the organisation’s brand appropriately.
22. Content Creation: Experience creating various content types (videos, press releases, social media) and working with creative teams /agencies.
23. Media Relations: Track record of generating quality media coverage, including press releases and media packs, and building relationships with journalists.
24. Partnership Development: Experience collaborating with partners, developing pitches, and aligning marketing with partnership or business development strategies.
25. Digital Marketing: Strong background in digital marketing, social media management, and using analytics to optimize performance.
26. Co-production and inclusion: Commitment to working with inclusively with our audiences, understanding and meeting their needs and dreams.
