Job summary We are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to our busy Ophthalmology Out-Patient Department based in the community at Boston house Wigan. We provide a wide variety of ophthalmic services to the local community, including general clinics, laser treatments, sight saving injections, urgent referral clinics, minor surgery and pre-operative assessments amongst many others. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience the varied clinics and specialist services we provide as part of a dedicated ophthalmic team Experience of ophthalmology is preferred but not essential as in department training will be given. Main duties of the job Under the supervision of the department managers the nurse will be responsible for the provision, organisation and direction of nursing care. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and high quality care is provided to our patients.
