We have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic, results driven Sales Manager to lead our UK end user sales team, drive new business growth, and develop strategic partnerships. This is a brand new role reporting to the European Commercial Director and we are looking for a candidate with a strong background in medical device sales, team leadership, and supplier relationship management, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Please note that you MUST have worked in medical imaging previously.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee and lead a team of UK-based sales representatives, ensuring high performance, motivation, and professional development.
* Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and sales initiatives that generate leads and drive customer engagement.
* Develop and execute a national sales strategy, including partnerships & product launches, to drive product sales and expand market share.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities via strategic partnerships, growing the sales pipeline and securing new customer contracts.
* Provide/facilitate regular coaching, training, and support to enhance the team’s product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
* Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to optimise profitability and product availability.
* Own responses to all relevant Framework Tenders, ensuring completion and business compliance.
* Set, manage & monitor sales targets, ensuring consistent delivery against revenue and growth objectives.
* Act as the primary liaison between the company and its imaging device suppliers/partners, ensuring strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
* Manage the sales budget, forecasting revenue, and ensuring profitability working closely with the ECD to report on sales performance.
* Support the team to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hospitals, imaging centres, private healthcare providers, and procurement decision-makers.
* Work with the wider business to ensure capabilities to meet industry standards for system installations, applications training, after-sales support and technical back up to customers as required.
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
* Ensure management of all leads, opportunities, contacts & notes in SF CRM to meet expected standards and ensure conversion of opps.
* Enable effective stock management of systems, accessories & consumables through forecasting and consumption data.
* Attend exhibitions and marketing events to promote the Product offering and related aspects of the Probo portfolio.
Skills/Experience required:
* Minimum 2 years experience in a sales management role within the medical imaging, radiology, or medical device sector is essential.
* Demonstrable success in managing sales teams, driving revenue growth, and developing high-performing sales professionals.
* Proficiency in building and maintaining productive relationships, including customers, suppliers & internal stakeholders.
* History in taking clinical product to market, including in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape.
* Strong understanding of the UK healthcare market, including NHS and private sector procurement processes.
* Technical knowledge of the Radiology environment.
* Clinical knowledge of modalities & their applications (desirable).
* Understanding of budget management, pricing strategies, and profitability.
* Strong proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
* Well-developed negotiation and engagement skills.
This role is remote based with requirements for regular national travel as necessary.
