About The Role
Cornerstone Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for a Referrals and Business Development Manager to join our business development team, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight for all referral & assessment activity for our care services. You will be working closely with operational colleagues across multiple sites and a wide range of external stakeholders.
You'll take the lead on managing referral systems and placement platforms, monitoring performance against KPIs, producing insightful reports, and building strong relationships with commissioners and partners. You'll also support wider business development activity, including market research and competitor analysis to support the ongoing development of our organisation.
The role plays a vital part in supporting the organisation’s growth by driving high-quality referral management, promoting best practices, and ensuring that those who use our services receive timely access to the care they need.

The role is busy and varied and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build wide-ranging experience working across a number of key workstreams.
In this role you will have the opportunity to operate on a hybrid basis. Including working from home, Head Office and our services so this role does require a full UK Drivers Licence.
What do you need? (Essential Experience)
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a Managerial role
* Experience in a Business Development role
* UK Drivers Licence
* To have evidence of continued professional development
* Demonstrated experience within a health care or social care environment
* Successful track record of working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
* Someone who uses intuition and puts the resident at the forefront of all they do
* Exceptional influencer who influences positively at all levels across the organisation and externally
* A brilliant communicator, someone who can engage and inspire
* The ability to effectively prioritise tasks and effectively communicate decision making
* Sound analytical skills, with a sense of curiosity

What hours will you work?
Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
Total of 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
* Full oversight of the end-to-end referrals and assessment process, taking the lead to optimise and maximise the conversion of enquiries to agreed and funded placements
* Managing the referrals inbound systems including all portals, frameworks and placement platforms used by commissioners
* Ensure KPI’s for referral and assessment activity are met taking a proactive approach to identifying risks or changes in achievement
* To produce comprehensive data and regular reporting, for monitoring purposes and decision making
* Develop positive working relationships with all key stakeholders regarding bed availability and referral support
* Support with the implementation and development of a CRM database and maintain up to date contact records for all key referrers and stakeholders
* To support the Head of Business Development with competitor analysis, business development research and benchmarking as required
* Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Company
* To act as a positive role model, maintaining and demonstrating a positive attitude towards internal and external stakeholders.

About Us
Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, & Mytchett with 2 new services set to open in Bristol and Birmingham in 2025.
