How You'll Make a Difference As Campaigns Officer, you will assist the delivery of campaigns to reach those most in need within the community, raising awareness of council initiatives such as active travel schemes and new climate and nature initiatives. You will work within the Strategic Communications Team who work collaboratively with teams across the council to provide advice, guidance and hands-on delivery of communications. What will you be doing? Daily, you will organise, deliver and monitor council campaigns for a range of media such as press releases, newsletters and social media ensuring content is clear and accurate, remains inclusive and meets our equalities standards. You will continually monitor and analyse campaigns and responses to ensure we are providing effective communication. Working alongside the wider communications team, you will be supported by specialists in user-centred design, videography, graphic design and internal comms to create effective campaigns. It will be key for you to work alongside colleagues across council departments and external partner organisations to deliver campaigns Occasionally, you will perform administrative duties as and when required. What We Need From You It is essential for you to have proven experience of delivering and monitoring communication campaigns and event management. You must have strong copywriting skills for a range of media and audiences. Given the nature of the role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and can confidently work with a variety of people including members of the public. You should have strong IT skills, ideally with an understanding of systems such as Orlo, Mailchimp and Microsoft Planner. Ideally, you will have video recording and editing experience, however this is not essential.
