Salary: £27,498 - £29,215 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
The working pattern is Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, and Friday 7 hours per day.

This is an opportunity for a hard-working, honest, flexible, dependable, and self-motivated person to join Abingdon & Witney College’s Estates department as an Estates Maintenance Officer for the Abingdon Campus. Reporting to the Estates Supervisor, the successful candidate will support the efficient and smooth operation of the campus’s estates, focusing on the day-to-day management of all maintenance issues and statutory compliance checks. Responsibilities include maintaining the safety and security of the site and addressing enquiries from staff, students, contractors, external customers, and the public. Duties are likely to include diagnosing faults, undertaking first-fix repairs, and assuming the role of shift leader to the caretakers you will be working with. A good understanding of health and safety is essential, along with providing efficient support to the College and its users, ensuring that the security and appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained to required standards. A current driving licence is essential as you may need to occasionally travel between sites. The ideal candidate will also have a construction trade background, experience in commercial cleaning, and knowledge of security for large sites.
