Role Overview:
Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
Location: Waunfawr Primary School, Crosskeys, Sirhowy Valley
Primary Duties:
Covering classes during regular PPA release, management release, or staff absence.
Leading intervention groups across the school.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
HLTA qualification with secure knowledge of primary education.
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
Level 3 teaching and learning qualification.
Personal Attributes:
Motivated, positive, and hardworking, with a commitment to joining a supportive team.
High expectations for learning and behaviour, following the school’s policies and procedures.
Champions children’s needs and well-being.
Professional discretion and ability to respect confidentiality.
