The role involves supporting adults with Learning disabilities and or autism to find and sustain paid work. Key elements of the support you will provide will include Vocational Profiling and identifying individual support interventions required, which will inform action planning, outlining choices for the future in relation to participation in short, medium- and long-term outcomes for employment. This will include support with CV writing, support with job search, application forms and interviews. You will deliver high quality and impartial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to ensure that your customers are able to make informed decisions and are prepared for the step into employment. Working in partnership with employers to support recruitment, job sustainment and the creation of a diverse workforce. The intensive support model also enables ongoing ‘in work’ support to increase chances of stability and sustainable employment. We are looking for skilled, proactive and flexible individuals who will really make a difference to our customers lives, particularly in relation to their employment aspirations and goals. You will bring some experience of supporting adults or young people with learning disabilities and or autism. You will offer 1-1 support to adults with learning disabilities and or autism across the Cheshire West area in a mix of Council and partner-based settings, with the potential to work from home infrequently. The supported employment model has been developed and refined over many years and is internationally recognised as the best model to support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism into employment. A thorough understanding of the model will be of great benefit but is not essential as full training will be offered.
