An established freight forwarder is looking to recruit an Export Aerospace Operator - AOG Job summary: The position is focused on ensuring meeting customers expectations by providing excellent customer service including customs clearances, quotes, arranging shipments, invoicing and all other functions as required. Multi modal experience required. also supporting the supervisor during holiday and absent periods from the office. The role is mainly Exports, Imports is Road from Europe knowledge of T1's is beneficial. Key Activities: Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships. Be a part of the on-call rota contracted to a 1 in 3 weeks basis. Cost control Completion of end-to-end forwarding activities as the individual role requires. Follow strict and time sensitive SOPs/KPIs to ensure compliance. Work closely with internal and external customers Focus on customer service. Use of Cargo Wise/MS office as requested. Ensure invoicing and job costing are updated within the required timeframe. Month end department compliance Customs Entries Assist Supervisors and line managers where required. Ensure all reports including internal and customer specific are completed within the deadline. Resolve queries from customers and suppliers. Ensure Best Practice models are adopted. Work closely with the line manager to complete Internal and external rates reviews. To take part in customer reviews when required to build up visibility and relationships with customers. Assist sales and management with customer development. Operate within companies QA system. Always remain customs and H&S compliant Any other tasks as directed by their supervisor or line manager. Technical Experience: Fully PC literate on excel and word applications. Educated to GCSE/O level standard or equivalent. Good Customs clearance knowledge Good operational knowledge A high level of customer service skills Behavioural Competencies: Problem solving skills. Self-motivation and drive to succeed. Working Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, 1 in 3 weeks out of hours on call, £75 per day and weekends £150 per day total £675 a week.
