Position: Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager Location: West Sussex Reports to: Project Manager Project: Guildmore Planned Works We are seeking a proactive Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager to join our team, working under the guidance of the Project Manager for Guildmore Planned Works. This role is ideal for candidates with prior experience in social housing and a strong understanding of planned works. The Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing supply chains, and supporting client relationships to ensure the successful delivery of planned works projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager in managing day-to-day site activities. Oversee the progress of planned works, ensuring they are completed on time, to specification, and within budget. Ensure that all site operations comply with current health and safety legislation and best practices. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and enforce corrective actions when necessary to maintain a safe working environment. Oversee the execution of planned works within the social housing sector, ensuring projects meet required standards and client expectations. Contribute to the management of project costs, monitor budgets, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to maintain project profitability without compromising on quality. Act as a point of contact for clients and maintain positive working relationships. Provide updates and address any concerns regarding project progress, quality, and outcomes. Coordinate and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services, monitor quality, and address any supply chain issues that may arise. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Excellent health and safety awareness with the ability to manage risks and maintain a safe working environment. Commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently. Strong client management skills, with experience in maintaining professional relationships and communicating effectively with clients. Experience in managing supply chains and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure the smooth delivery of the project. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality and efficiency. Qualifications: Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SSSTS,SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card). Experience as a Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager, ideally within the social housing or planned works sector. Full, clean driving license due to the role’s location in West Sussex.
