Electrical Operations Manager Up to £55,000 Cambridge/Colchester/Essex Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00 Are you interested in working for a future powerhouse of the facilities management world as an Electrical Operations manager? Our client covers approx. 3000 buildings across the UK within the following sectors Commercial, Distribution centres, Hospitality, Rail, Educational, Care Homes, Vets, Casino and is looking for an experienced manager to manage the electrical division and take the company forward as a whole. The main purpose of this job will be to provide leadership, client interaction, supervision, and development of team members within the company. Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Operations Manager 1. To ensure all PPM, Statutory and reactive tasks are issued to the engineers and completed in the required delivery to Contract KPI & SLA. Ensure comprehensive records are maintained & in date. Be accountable for the day to day running of the contract, manage material, deliver extra works and projects. 2. Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on all PPM, reactive & Subcontractor works. Act as point of contact for nominated Subcontractors. 3. Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to ensure statutory; policy and contractual commitments are met. 4. Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts. Liaison with client management & health and safety Team. Manage meetings, actively seek feedback to ensure exceptional service customer delivery. 5. To ensure timely planning & delivery of site maintenance and other long term contractually committed works to meet contract programmes. 6. Support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery. 7. Working with the Operations Manager to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues. Managing some financial aspects of the contract. 8. Overview staff training and holiday, reporting to the Operations manager. 9. Oversee the contract supports and helpdesk teams, ensuring all processes are adhered to, review process regularly looking to implement any improvements. Undertake training, appraisals and be the first point of contact. 10. Undertake regular team meetings and toolbox talks, review hazard reporting. 11. Ensure all appropriate PPE, tools, and equipment is present and in good order to undertake roles. Reporting to the Operations manager, keeping logbooks and documentation up to date. 12. Attend contract review, monthly and quarterly meetings as requested. 13. Undertake and attend training and development courses as required, keeping records updated and reporting to the Operations Manager. 14. On Call rota escalation from Engineering team. Accountabilities 1. Reporting to an Operations Manager. 2. Accountable day-to-day to the relevant Client Contact. 3. Line supervision responsibility for the M&E and Contract support site teams and indirectly for relevant sub-contractors 4. Operationally responsibility for the delivery for PPM, Reactive, Corrective Maintenance and Extra Works commitments of the Contract. PERSON SPECIFICATION A good general education and being electrically trained is preferable. Must be tidy and organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments IT literate (MS Suite) Good experience and demonstrate a good knowledge of managing subcontractors.
