The Role
This new opportunity has arisen to support the delivery of Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space (MHCBS); a debt respite scheme for people in mental health crisis. The post holder will be responsible for providing support to applicants of the MHCBS if they are struggling to complete the His Majesty's Treasury application form or find an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). This role is a quality assurance and clinical role where the primary focus will be on ensuring the correct approval processes is in place, ahead of someone entering into the MHCBS.
Please note that this role requires a satisfactory DBS check.

Key Tasks
- Provide Information, Advice and Guidance to people accessing the service
- Act as an AMHP for patients in the Local Authority (LA)
- Support patients to find an AMHP outside of the LA
- Continuously assess ways of working and making recommendations in line with best practice and continuous improvement
- Assess and manage high-risk cases within MHCBS
- Keeping up to speed on sector news and Government initiatives
- Taking a lead role in managing any contracts that require clinical expertise
- Participation in Advisory, Governance and Quality meetings internally and with their lead partner, We Are Group
- Deliver/arrange training sessions for We Are Group and its Partners on the MHCBS contract
- To be the clinical voice of the organisation, providing guidance when requested
Experience, Qualifications & Training Requirements
Essential:
- Approved Mental Health Professional
- HCPC registered
- Demonstrable background of working within the NHS, Local Authority or Justice Services
- Expertise in the field of Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Highly experienced in partnership working
Desirable:
- Familiar with the Charity Commission
- Experience of contract management

- Ability to independently manage own workload, ensuring consistently high-quality work
