THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Head of PMO Governance Director to optimize and enforce the governance framework for our global delivery organization. You will provide strategic oversight, risk management, and compliance across the entire customer project portfolio. You will validate that our projects are delivered in alignment with the company’s financial objectives, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Part of your scope work is the definition of objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure the success of our project and of the Delivery business unit at large. You also need to identify sweet spots and leakages in our performance and proactively suggest remedy actions for the latter.
The Head of Governance will oversee a large global team, maintaining financial oversight of the project’s P&Ls with full and driving operational excellence across delivery teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background, deep expertise in governance frameworks, and the financial acumen to manage budgets and financial performance without external assistance.
This role involves collaborating with senior leadership, and internal delivery teams to mitigate risks, resolve escalations, and drive consistent service excellence.
OPPORTUNITIES
* Define and implement a governance framework to ensure effective oversight and management of project delivery.
* Oversee contract compliance, risk management, and financial controls.
* Support the customer escalation team and help manage contractual disputes.
* Collaborate with the PMO, finance, and legal teams to enforce governance policies.
* Define Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and reporting framework to track project and Delivery organization performance.
* Provide regular reports to the executive leadership team on portfolio performance, risks, and compliance.
* Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to align governance practices with business objectives.
* Lead and manage a large global team, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
* Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation within the Governance function.
SKILLS
* Proven experience in governance and project/program management, preferably within the technology or financial services sector.
* Strong financial management skills, with the ability to own and run a P&L independently.
* Expertise in project methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, Hybrid) and governance best practices.
* Experience in managing large-scale transformation initiatives and leading large global teams.
* Ability to strategically align governance frameworks with corporate objectives.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strategic Governance and Risk Management: Proven experience in project and portfolio governance for external customer delivery, expertise in contract compliance, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies, and strong knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks related to external service delivery.
* Working knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
* Financial and Commercial Acumen: experience in financial oversight, including revenue tracking, profitability analysis, and cost control, and ability to interpret financial reports and assess contract profitability.
* Experience with SAFe (SAFe. Scaled Agile Framework) and ITIL methodologies and with SaaS and Managed Services is preferred to support scalable and efficient delivery processes.
* Proficiency in project portfolio management (PPM) tools is a plus.
* Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-PgMP, are a plus.
