We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet & Plant Operations Manager to join our team to oversee the management of our fleet of road vehicles and construction plant to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance. Roles and Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet & plant, ensuring that vehicles/plant are maintained, safe, and compliant with all relevant regulations. Develop and implement strategies to optimise performance, minimise idling time, and reduce costs. Lead and manage a team of maintenance engineers and drivers, providing direction, support, and training to ensure high levels of performance and safety. Oversee scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles to deliver exceptional service to our site teams. Monitor fleet & plant expenses, including fuel, repairs, and maintenance costs, and work to identify opportunities for cost savings. Ensure that all vehicles & plant are maintained in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, government regulations, and new technologies that may improve fleet efficiency and safety. Prepare regular reports for senior management, including fleet performance metrics, budget forecasts, and compliance status. Advise senior management on disposals and new plant purchases. Requirements: Proven experience as a Fleet Operations Manager or similar role Knowledge of fleet management, maintenance procedures, and safety standards. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience in construction plant operations would be beneficial but not essential. Why Join Us?
