Job Description:
An exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer to fast-track their career development as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate. You will undertake a 3-year collaborative project between PB Design Ltd and Brunel University London.
Based predominantly at the company’s premises near Bristol, the post holder will take a leading role in the development of smart bidirectional EV chargers.

Founded in 1979, we design and provide AC & DC Standby Power solutions and are in the design stages of rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers as an essential part of our exciting growth strategy. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Electronic Engineer to fast-track their career development as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate. The post will be based predominantly at the company’s premises near Bristol, and the post holder will take a leading role in the development of smart bidirectional EV chargers.
The University
Academic advice & supervision will be provided by leading electronic engineers from Brunel University London on a weekly basis. Brunel University London is located in England and was founded in 1966. The KTP is led from within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences, which is a leading and distinctive STEM education and knowledge provider.
The Candidate
You will be a graduate in Electronic/Computer Engineering with a master's or a good (1st or 2:1) first degree. Ideally, you will have background knowledge in designing power electronic circuits, programming, and embedded system developments. Experience in software packages, such as PCB design software and circuit design software (e.g., PSpice or Multisim), will be advantageous. You will have a strong interest in practical engineering, ideally with some hands-on experience, and must be familiar with programming (C-coding) and developing embedded systems. You will have the ability to plan and organize your own workload and be able to work to a deadline. With support and training, you will take ownership of the project, including management of finances, resources, and timing.
