About the role:
As a Risk and Compliance Administrator Apprentice at Dals, you will play a crucial role in supporting our risk and compliance functions. This entry-level position is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in conducting audits, managing data, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with the Risk & Compliance Manager and other team members to maintain high standards of compliance and continuous improvement.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Conducting Audits:
* Perform audits across various business areas in line with the internal audit schedule.
* Conduct audits objectively and independently, providing risk-based assurance and insights.
* Carry out follow-up audits to address non-conformance issues.
Reporting:
* Regularly report audit outcomes to the Risk & Compliance Manager.
* Highlight key trends, risks, and insights in the reports.
Continuous Improvement:
* Demonstrate a future-focused approach to addressing non-conformances.
* Identify loopholes or gaps in processes and recommend improvements.
Knowledge Development:
* Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding legislations, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
Collaboration:
* Work alongside the Risk and Compliance Manager to address non-conformances.
* Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks to support wider compliance activities.
Data Management:
* Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse data.
* Create spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to visualise data.
* Perform data entry and ensure data accuracy.
Document Management:
* Create, edit, and format documents using Microsoft Word.
* Maintain and organise digital and physical files.
* Ensure documents are properly archived and easily accessible.
Communication:
* Facilitate communication between departments.
* Draft and send emails, memos, and other correspondence.
* Assist in preparing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
About You:
* Basic administration experience is required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to multitask and think critically.
* Proactive initiative.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Can take instructions and carry out tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
* Good timekeeping.
