We are urgently recruiting for a Crane Operative to work with our client in the Knaresborough area of North Yorkshire. This is working with EFW (Energy for Waste). This is initially a 3 month contract but could go permanent for the right candidate. Full training will be provided.
Various Shifts Monday – Friday (8am – 4pm) and shift work, including both day and night shifts working 12 hours per shifts - 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily safety checks of machinery to ensure optimal performance
2. Set up and operate cranes to safely move materials around the site
3. Coordinate closely with the banksman to maintain the highest level of site safety
4. Perform minor repairs on machinery as needed and report any significant issues to the supervisor
5. Maintain detailed records of materials moved and ensure travel routes are clear
6. Conduct regular equipment inspections in line with safety protocols
7. Keep comprehensive maintenance logs for all operated machinery
8. Monitor crane stability and load weights consistently
