What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an IBA Technician to support our IBA Lead, ensuring all finance activities are handled in line with regulatory requirements and internal service levels. You'll need to have experience working in an insurance accounts environment as you’ll be monitoring and reconciling insurer and OCE accounts and bordereaux. You need to have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as you’ll be monitoring and performing bank and insurer reconciliations, ensuring that differences are investigated and rectified. You’ll be making sure that daily, weekly, and month-end finance reconciliations and routines are completed in line with specified practices and procedures, so the ability to work to deadlines is essential.
Some Of The Things You'll Get Up To
1. Monitoring and reconciling all 3rd party finance, insurer, and OCE accounts and bordereaux.
2. Monitoring and performing bank and insurer reconciliations, ensuring differences are investigated and rectified.
3. Regularly reviewing output and escalating issues to the IBA Lead.
4. Ensuring that all accounting processes follow best practice principles.
5. Ensuring that daily, weekly, and month-end finance reconciliations and routines are completed on time and in line with specified practices and procedures.
6. Ensuring that all documentation and processes fall within agreed service standards and FCA regulations.
7. Regularly reviewing, maintaining, and where required, improving accounts procedures, manuals, systems, and processes.
We’d Like You To Have
1. Demonstrable knowledge of the CASS rules.
2. Good IT skills particularly with Excel and MS Word.
3. Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas.
4. Excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and external customers and suppliers.
5. A good level of English, both written and oral.
6. Excellent numeric skills.
7. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise the department’s own workload.
8. Ability to work within a team environment and to assist team members where required.
