Job Title: Project Planner\n\nLocation: Manchester\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £60,000 (Negotiable)\n\nThe Client\n\nOur client are a highly respected national full building envelope contractor, they are looking to add an experienced Project Planner to their team. \n\nThe Role of Project Planner\n\nThis role requires individuals with aspirations to develop/further enhance their career in planning, programming and project management working on all aspects of initial planning, phasing, coordination and sequencing for our clients project tender programmes.\n\nA driven individual with a can-do attitude and will use their experience, enthusiasm and skills to help the department drive efficiency and performance.\n\nWorking with the tender, pre-construction and delivery teams on a range of opportunities and live projects by collaboratively developing and maintaining robust detailed project plans.\nPreparing project specific programmes for inclusion within the Tender submission.\nEstablishing optimal construction methodologies, logic sequences & working outputs by producing programmes for review and preparing logistics proposal.\nPro-actively ensuring that planning standards are maintained across all projects and planning & control procedures are adhered to.\nAssisting the Operations teams with tracking changes and progress on live projects where required to take into account delays, site progression and commercial impact.\nVisit sites, attend progress meetings, monitor progress and assist to update short term plans and construction programmes.\nLearn to communicate and quantify the effects of progress on key dates.\nTo promote a partnership ethos within the Pre-Construction department of Estimating and Planning as well as Operations teams by developing and maintaining close working relationships both internally and with external client's team.\n\nTo Succeed the Project Planner will need:\n\nKnowledge / Experience of project planning systems and software such as Microsoft Project (desirable) and Asta Powerproject.\nExperience within the construction industry or related industry (preferable).\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nGood standard of general IT literacy; proficient in use of Word and Excel.\nGood basic standard of general literacy and numeracy.\nAble to communicate with team members and departments to either relay or gather information, and to assist with preparing reports and updating information on site.\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\nSalary of £40,00 - £60,000 \nCar/Car Allowance\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\nHealthcare Cash Plan\nPension - 8
