As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction and project planning processes by providing accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure that our bids are competitive, profitable, and aligned with project specifications. To Ensure Your Success The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection, along with familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Proficiency in cost estimation techniques and relevant software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel is essential, enabling the development of accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex mechanical systems. Strong analytical skills are required to review project specifications, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and assess project risks. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure that all aspects of mechanical systems are thoroughly estimated and that nothing is overlooked. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors, as well as for presenting estimates clearly and confidently. An understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, will be beneficial. Experience in soliciting and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors is important, as is the ability to build strong relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing. Familiarity with relevant software tools and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is necessary.
