We have a great opportunity to join our education team as an Information, Advice & Guidance worker for Novus Gower, our prison education provider at HMP & YOI Parc. This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week. At Novus Gower we work with passion, care, and commitment to create the foundations for change. What the role entails As directed by the Curriculum Manager / Local Education Manager to ensure, via appropriate assessment, that prospective and existing clients receive relevant and easily understood information regarding resettlement provision in custody and continuing support on release on licence and on Post Sentence Supervision. To enable the client to produce an informed resettlement action plan, that would maximise the impact of custodial services upon the client whilst in custody. To contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach that seeks to facilitate a smooth transition to the resettlement of the client into the community. What we need from you In order to be successful in the role of Information Advice & Guidance worker, you will need: To hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 information, advice and guidance qualification within an agreed time scale To hold or be willing to work towards level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy within an agreed timescale Ideally you will want to be a part of a team who has at its core a focus on improving lives and enabling and equipping learners to develop, grow and be equipped for a life of work and success.
