What does the role look like?
We are a growing team in Technology and Digital Development, spearheading the analysis, development and implementation of new automation / digital technologies in Danske Bank UK to realise our ambitious Digitization goals. The role holder will lead the Low Code Automation team, providing leadership, strategic direction and technical support to ensure the successful delivery of Automation projects. Collaborating with business stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for automation and oversee the technical delivery of same, ensuring the quality and resilience of solutions.
You will also seek to accelerate the implementation of Intelligent Automation Solutions within Danske Bank by identifying new and emerging technologies and helping to test and implement same through engagement with our Group colleagues and other stakeholders prior to deployment.
Typical Responsibilities include;
Strategic Leadership
* Leading the Bank’s Digital Strategy in the low code space through working with the Head of Engineering to create the technical roadmap for the implementation of intelligent Automation in Danske Bank UK.
* Build and continuously expand expertise, acting as an Automation subject matter expert across the development areas.
Technical Design and Implementation
* Oversee the implementation of scalable and robust solutions, providing technical support and recommendations for complex solutions.
* Oversee and steer the work of external developers and contractors assigned to the team.
* Implement best practices to optimise resource utilization and maximise efficiency.
Innovation and Technology Adoption
* Stay updated with emerging technologies and tools and evaluate and select appropriate automation tools, platforms and technologies to support broader technology goals.
Team Leadership
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Architects and Developers within the team including coaching, setting standards of development and feedback on solutions to promote quality and reliability.
* Promote Continuous learning and development within the team.
Project Management
* Co-ordinate Automation releases across stakeholders to ensure high quality and timely delivery with a robust monitoring of live solutions.
* Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Group relationships – build and leverage relationships with Group Technology Tribes to deliver on UK goals and serve as UK point of contact for Automation.
Your skills
Essential:
* Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions across platforms such as Blue Prism, UI Path, Power Platform, Pega or Camunda.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with experience in mentoring and developing technical talent.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Experience in developing and executing automation strategies that align with organisational objectives.
* Deep understanding of low-code development environments and automation technologies.
* Understanding of other technologies and coding languages beyond RPA e.g. BPM/PEGA, VBA, C.
Preferred:
* Relevant certifications in automation or specific technologies (e.g., UI Path, Power Platform).
* Experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies and tools to enhance automation capabilities.
* Knowledge or Experience of Power Apps, Camunda, Pega.
