Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Specialist Physiotherapist specialising in Bladder and Bowel. You will play a key role in providing expert physiotherapy services to patients referred for assessment and intervention, specializing in pelvic floor health and continence care. What you'll do:
* Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients referred with bladder and bowel dysfunction, as well as women's health-related conditions, including pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, constipation, and faecal incontinence.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of pelvic floor function, bladder and bowel habits, and related symptoms, using evidence-based techniques to diagnose and manage conditions.
* Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans for patients with conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary urgency, pelvic pain, and other continence issues.
* Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including pelvic floor muscle training, bladder training, bowel retraining, biofeedback, and lifestyle modification strategies.
* Educate patients on pelvic floor health, self-management strategies, and exercises to improve long-term outcomes.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary continence team, including nurses, urologists, gastroenterologists, and gynecologists, to deliver coordinated care.
* Provide education and training to patients and carers in group settings and one-on-one sessions.
* Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required and providing ongoing support to ensure sustained improvements.
* Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes in line with professional and legal standards.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical pathways for continence and pelvic health.
What we're looking for:
* Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current HCPC registration.
* Specialist training or experience in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy or Women's Health Physiotherapy, with a focus on bladder, bowel, and pelvic health.
* Proven experience in the assessment and management of pelvic floor dysfunction and continence-related conditions.
* In-depth knowledge of evidence-based physiotherapy techniques for bladder, bowel, and pelvic health.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients experiencing sensitive and personal health issues.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
