This is a significant opportunity to take on a commissioning support role in the delivery of services for vulnerable children, young people, and adults in Bromley. The role will support a team of clinicians and commissioners to take forward key work to deliver better services for people with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. The role will be a good fit for individuals with a strong ability to deliver robust administrative services, work seamlessly across different project areas simultaneously, and lead small-scale commissioning projects to a high quality, meeting set deadlines.
The role would also be a good fit for someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health challenges, groups who often have poorer health and other outcomes than other groups.

Main duties of the job
The One Bromley Local Care Partnership (LCP) is seeking a Commissioning Support Officer – Learning Disabilities/Mental Health and Wellbeing. This is a new post in the One Bromley System with an opportunity for the incoming postholder to make their mark within this critical area. The role will provide support related to All-Age Learning Disabilities/Mental Health and Wellbeing Commissioning, including the provision and coordination of robust administrative services. Additionally, the postholder will coordinate work across the team to complete Freedom of Information (FOI), Subject Access Requests (SARs), MP and councillor enquiries, public questions, and other information requests in relation to learning disabilities/mental health and wellbeing commissioning. The postholder will work closely with the Integrated Care Board’s (ICB) Associate Director, commissioning leads, and other colleagues to secure excellent outcomes for vulnerable people in Bromley.

‘One Bromley’ is the emerging Local Care Partnership for Bromley, coordinated by a small team hosted by Bromley Healthcare. The partnership is led by a number of key senior officers of the Bromley system and includes all the main NHS providers in Bromley, London Borough of Bromley, Bromley Third Sector Enterprise, St Christopher’s Hospice and SEL ICB (through Bromley borough based structures). This group is the One Bromley Executive - the senior management team providing oversight and support for the local health and care system, initially focused on Urgent & Emergency Care, and the further development of community services to reduce acute service use and promote good flow through the system, as well as specific areas such as the Proactive Care pathway and Frailty pathways.
Bromley is part of SEL ICB and works as part of an overall Integrated Care System in South East London.

Education / Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, such as project management or business administration, or an equivalent level of knowledge acquired through study, training, and experience.
Experience
* Experience of effective delivery within a business planning and/or office context with an understanding of administrative processes and procedures.
* Experience of utilizing effective business planning and/or information systems.
* Demonstrated experience of delivering improvement projects in complex and challenging environments.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to prepare clear concise written and verbal reports for a range of audiences, including senior managers.
* Knowledge of Financial Systems e.g. budget monitoring, procurement, and invoice processing.
* Understanding of project principles, techniques, and tools.
* Ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive, and contentious information and present complex and sensitive information to large groups and senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly.
