About The Role
Shift: Rotating Days and Nights 4 on 4 off
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business at their new state-of-the-art facility.
1. Repair various manufacturing equipment used for the production of FMCG products including conveying and distribution systems.
2. Carry out PPM's and Reactive maintenance.
3. Attending to machinery breakdowns.
4. Fault finding equipment - electrical and mechanical machinery.
5. Knowledge of SCADA or similar systems and some PLC knowledge.
About The Candidate:
1. Maintenance Engineer experience in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
2. Applicants should have formal Electrical or Mechanical qualifications backed up with suitable training and experience ie NVQ level / 3 City and Guilds or food and drink industry engineering Apprenticeship.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
4. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
5. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
6. Experience of using CMMS or EAM systems.
7. Proven experience in driving through continuous improvement activities.
8. Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers, and strapping machines.
9. Working to British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards with regard to Hygiene and Cleanliness standards would be advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake a programme of Planned Preventative Maintenance and Condition Based Monitoring for key equipment & machinery across the manufacturing areas, to ensure that machinery & equipment is maintained correctly and operates safely and as efficiently as possible.
2. Actively support and encourage a programme of TPM and assist with the training of colleagues in the relevant activities, in accordance with H&S and engineering legislative codes of practice policies and procedures.
3. To support with additional maintenance tasks across the UK sites as and when requested.
4. Ensure accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences are dealt with in accordance with company standards.
5. Assist and train Machine Operators to ensure continuous improvement.
6. Ensure Data quantity and quality via the use of the engineering EAM system.
7. Update daily activity reports.
8. Analyse system, lines, and product performance.
The role will require shift work on a 4 on 4 off basis rotating days and nights. Each shift will be 12 hours and some flexibility on start and finish times is required.
