To adhere to safe working practices as outlined in Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) procedures. To work to a cleaning schedule, completing all allocated cleaning tasks e.g. damp dusting, high and low level surfaces, vacuuming, mopping and carpet cleaning in clinics, offices, toilets/bathrooms, kitchens, corridors and general rooms prioritising work load when necessary. To complete cleanliness audit actions in a timely manner, ensure audits are signed and filed in a logical order. To maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning materials. Ensure deliveries of stores orders. To maintain water quality by flushing infrequently used outlets e.g. taps, showers and toilets and ensure appropriate documentation is completed. To remove general, recycled, and clinical waste and dispose of in the appropriate compound. To report building / equipment faults repairs to clinical departmental leads, building custodians, or via Facilities Service Desk or line manager. To maintain building security where necessary e.g. setting alarms. The role may include being assigned as the allocated key holder. To adhere to the lone working policy where applicable.
