Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Leeds
Remuneration: £40, - £45, + benefits package
Contract Details: Permanent, full-time position
Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of the finance function to provide timely management information and support decision-making within our client's organisation.
2. Utilise your financial reporting expertise to generate accurate and insightful monthly management accounts, meeting agreed deadlines.
3. Manage balance sheet reconciliations and month-end transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
4. Oversee the work of processing staff for purchase and sales ledgers, providing guidance and support when needed.
5. Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review and ensure accuracy in the company's system used for production costings, stock, and customer management.
6. Collaborate closely with department heads and the Retail Finance team to enhance financial processes and reporting.
7. Demonstrate excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external parties.
8. Show proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong keyboard skills and attention to detail.
9. Display exceptional people management and influencing skills to drive positive outcomes.
10. Embrace a solution-focused mindset and a willingness to tackle complex tasks.
11. Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements when handling sensitive information.
12. Prioritise workload effectively, adhere to deadlines, and maintain an organised office environment.
