The Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford (the Home of Lancashire Cricket) is a unique hotel positioned in a world class thriving multi-purpose venue that hosts a multitude of large-scale and high-profile events, from international cricket to sell-out concerts. The hotel, with its 250 bedrooms (including 140 pitch-facing rooms), restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served overlooking the pitch and bar is located within the Emirates Old Trafford venue sitting alongside our award-winning conference & events facilities integrating seamlessly with the stadium and all the events that it hosts. The Role As our Hotel Sales Manager your responsibilities will include, but by no means be limited to: • To proactively establish new prospects and contact and convert them into new business • To develop and maintain a client and prospective client database, following company standard • To respond to and follow up on sales enquiries • To develop and maintain existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaison with Group Sales Executive and reservations team • To carry out market research and competitor surveys where required • To work with the Hotel GM, Head of CEH Sales and Delivery, Sales Manager (Conference and Events), Business Development and Marketing team to compile the annual hotel sales and marketing plan • To work with the Hotel GM and Head of CEH Sales and Delivery and Business Development team to carry out monthly analysis on departmental sales against budget and key account management strategy • Attend and input into the Daily Detail meeting, Revenue meetings, Team Meeting, Sales Meeting, Commercial review and the Business Review meeting • Produce monthly reports for management on sales activitie The Person • Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience – Hilton preferable • Experience in a hotel sales role with a proven track record of developing new business sales • Knowledge of local market • Knowledge of C&E (preferable) • Working knowledge of Delphi (or similar system – full training will be given) • Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service • Positive attitude and good communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations What we offer - A competitive salary - Holiday allowance increasing with service - 2 x standard Lancashire Cricket season memberships - Social events throughout the year - Fitness classes, table tennis club and yoga - Basic contributory pension scheme with option to join enhanced pension scheme, including life assurance, after 3 months service - Optional health cash plan scheme - Discounts at the Lancashire Cricket Official Store, Trafford Cricket Centre, Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford, Caffè Nero and with the Club’s partners - Free parking - Uniform Please take a look at the full job description and if you have the experience and skills required, coupled with the enthusiasm and energy levels needed to fulfil the responsibilities of the role to their full potential, then please submit your CV outlining why you should be considered for the position.
