Position: Qualified Social Worker - Community Mental Health (Adults)
Location: Civic Centre, Enfield EN1 3ES
Pay Rate: £32 per hour
Role Overview:
This position is within the Community Mental Health Team for adults, focusing on supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. The role involves assessment, care planning, intervention, and multi-disciplinary collaboration to improve service users' mental health and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mental Health Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults with mental health issues to determine their needs and develop appropriate support plans.
2. Care Coordination: Act as a Care Coordinator under the Care Programme Approach (CPA), ensuring seamless care delivery and review processes.
3. Safeguarding: Identify and manage safeguarding risks, adhering to statutory protocols and promoting the safety of service users.
4. Legislation Compliance: Apply knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983, Care Act 2014, and Mental Capacity Act 2005, to all interventions.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with health professionals, housing services, and community resources to provide holistic support.
6. Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to mental health crises, providing short-term interventions and stabilizing situations.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
2. Proven experience in adult mental health services, including care coordination and safeguarding.
3. Knowledge of mental health and social care legislation and its practical application.
4. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for effective decision-making and communication.
5. Ability to manage a complex caseload and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Working Arrangements:
Hybrid model with a combination of remote working and on-site attendance at Enfield Civic Centre. Flexibility to conduct in-person visits and attend team meetings as required.
