We are assisting Johnston Carmichael in their search for a Director/Partner to join their growing Financial Services Audit team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in a dynamic and forward-thinking firm. The location for this role is flexible across the Central Belt of Scotland or London.

About the Role

As Director/Partner, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of wealth and asset management audit clients, including:

* Investment trusts
* Venture capital trusts
* Open-ended funds
* Private equity houses/funds
* Asset managers
You'll act as an audit signatory and provide strategic leadership, supporting the growth of the Financial Services Audit team and taking a leading role in client relationships, business development, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead a diverse portfolio of financial services audit clients.
* Build and expand the Financial Services Audit client base with the support of the leadership team.
* Contribute to the strategic direction and growth plans of the team.
* Manage and mentor the Audit team, fostering skill development and career growth.
* Oversee audit work from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to Johnston Carmichael's rigorous standards and policies.
* Act as an RI (Responsible Individual) and sign audit reports.
* Deliver high-quality client engagement, maintaining strong relationships across a range of stakeholders.
About You

We're seeking an experienced and ambitious audit professional with the following attributes:
* Professional qualification (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
* Audit signatory experience or eligibility to apply for RI status.
* Extensive experience within the wealth and asset management sector, covering Investment Trusts, Venture Capital Trusts, Private Equity, and Asset Managers.
* A strong focus on audit quality and attention to detail.
* Proven experience in business development and a strategic mindset to grow client portfolios.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a collaborative and motivating approach.
This role is suited to someone looking to step up to audit RI or an experienced RI seeking a new challenge within a high-quality and supportive team.
