Base pay range
Role: Senior Support Desk Engineer
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid – Predominantly Remote)
I’m excited to be partnering with a well-established and growing business that is looking for a Senior Support Desk Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This hybrid role offers flexibility, with most work conducted remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert remote IT support, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues.
2. Serve as an escalation point for major outages and complex technical challenges.
3. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions.
4. Monitor system performance and ensure security compliance.
5. Develop comprehensive documentation and mentor junior engineers.
Technical Skills & Experience:
Must-have: MSP experience.
Required Expertise: Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), WAN technologies, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, Azure AD, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
Preferred Knowledge: Windows Server & Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and SAN technologies.
Soft Skills:
1. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
2. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
3. Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
