About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Support Assistant to join our In-house property legal team.
You will provide essential legal administrative support for leasehold and freehold transactions, and as the first point of contact for our legal team and all customers/representatives (including estate agents), you will follow set procedures to ensure adherence to conveyancing best practices and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Customer and Representative Liaison: You will be the primary contact for customers, estate agents, and managers to gather and relay all relevant information regarding potential transactions.
2. Compliance Management: Consult and ensure compliance with lease eligibility criteria.
3. File Management: Open and manage conveyancing/property files efficiently.
4. Query Escalation: Escalate queries promptly, ensuring effective communication between all parties (internal and external).
5. Administrative Support: Gather necessary documentation to formally commence the conveyancing process and escalate it to the relevant Conveyancing Executives and Solicitors.
6. Communication: Communicate clearly, explain requirements, and respond to queries effectively.
7. Initiative and Deadline Management: Use initiative to manage tasks and be mindful of deadlines.
8. Documentation: Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have;
Qualifications:
9. A-levels (or equivalent)
10. Previous legal experience and/or legal qualifications
11. Willingness to study for a legal qualification (ideal)
Experience:
12. Managing and administering large caseloads
13. Excellent customer service skills
14. Understanding of effective and prompt information sharing
15. Previous in-house experience (advantageous but not essential)
16. Experience in the housing sector (advantageous but not essential)
