Health and Safety Advisor
We are partnering with a reputable civil engineering contractor to expand its Health, Safety and Environment team.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a large contracting company with a strong commitment to health and safety. You will be working on groundwork and infrastructure schemes valued between £5m - £20m.
You will be split between office and site locations, ensuring that health and safety standards and procedures are maintained accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance to senior management and colleagues on SHE issues.
* Attend pre-commencement meetings to contribute to initial decisions made by the contract team.
* Assist the organisation in applying for statutory notices when required.
* Support the Regional SHE Manager in preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policy.
* Produce Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
* Conduct planned site visits and audits, including reporting and follow-up actions.
* Identify training needs and deliver on-site training, including toolbox talks.
* Investigate accidents and incidents.
* Ensure Company compliance with CDM regulations and other relevant statutes.
Requirements
* NEBOSH or other relevant qualification.
* Experience in the Civil Engineering / Infrastructure sector.
* Full clean driving licence.
What We Offer
A competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 basic plus car and package.
