Residential Children’s Practitioner (Level 2) – In Reach Team
In Norfolk we have exciting and ambitious plans to enhance the way we work with young people. Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes provide emergency and time-limited, specialist care for young people (male and female) aged between 8 - 17 years, when either family, foster care, mainstream residential or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.
The ‘In Reach Team’ works across our service to ensure that there are no shortfalls in staffing. The team is managed centrally in Norwich to cover all our in-house children’s homes and be able to offer bespoke care packages as and when the service requires.
Staff will be expected to react to service needs and your working days may vary.
You will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic service who endeavour to make significant changes in young people’s lives.
Ideally, you will have a background in residential care or be experienced in working with children. You will be required to have good levels of literacy and numeracy and hold an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or a similar qualification.
To work within this environment, you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills, as well as high professional standards.
