Workshop Manager Weston-super-Mare £50,000 DOE per year Full-time, Permanent Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (Day shift, with occasional on-call duties and overtime) As the Workshop Manager, you’ll oversee the maintenance of a diverse fleet of vehicles, including buses, coaches, and light vehicles, driving efficiency. You will also be upholding high standards, and ensuring compliance with DVSA legislation. Reporting directly to Director level, you’ll play a key role in optimising workshop performance, managing resources, and fostering a positive, safety-focused team environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage workload, prioritise repairs, and minimise vehicle downtime. Ensure high maintenance standards for workshop and roadside activities. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and audit requirements. Oversee staffing, parts inventory, and accurate record-keeping. Support staff training and development, including apprentices. Promote our values of safety, reliability, and customer service. The Workshop Manager : Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or similar. Advanced Irtec Accreditation. 2 years in a supervisory/management role within PSV/HGV maintenance. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
