A specialist case management and rehabilitation company that provides support work, case management, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and medico-legal services to children and adults across North England and South Scotland is looking for a Rehabilitation Support Worker in Kendal and surrounding areas, working 21.5 hours per week.
Along with a salary starting from £14.00 per hour (depending on experience), you will also receive generous mileage rates, additional holiday accrued with service, a pension scheme, health cover, and employee rewards.
What you'll do as a Rehabilitation Support Worker:
You will work with our 52-year-old client who sustained a traumatic brain injury as a child. You will be supporting them to access the community and prompting them to complete daily living activities in their own home. Our client has a keen mind for information/general knowledge, enjoys computing, TV quizzes, and building Lego. Our client attends regular community-based activities independently; however, there may be occasions where they attend additional activities/events and need support. A friendly disposition, sense of humour, and great conversation skills are essential.
We're looking for a Rehabilitation Support Worker with:
1. Previous experience of supporting work in clients' homes, ideally with brain injury survivors.
2. Driving licence and car ownership is essential as the client will use your car to access the community.
3. NVQ / Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience, e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
4. A completed Care Certificate is desirable.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
You will be joining a supportive, friendly team with a shared commitment to company values and a strong culture of recognising and celebrating achievement.
