What you'll do
The Financial Crime Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Compliance and Financial Crime Advice Manager in delivering a robust compliance framework across all Vodafone UK products and delivery channels. This role involves leading the implementation and oversight of effective controls to ensure we meet our regulatory obligations.
In this position, you will provide Vodafone UK with clear regulatory interpretations and establish corresponding policy expectations. By taking a proportionate approach to risk-rating and assessment, you will ensure that our business consistently operates within our legal and regulatory risk appetites.
* Support the Senior Compliance & Financial Crime Advice Manager in designing and implementing a fit for purpose operational model to support the effective management of financial crime risk & compliance.
* Establish and maintain a constructive dialogue with relevant regulators, including the NCA, the FCA and others.
* Work across the business and Group to find compliant solutions to business problems regarding financial crime regulatory/policy compliance.
* Lead the design, implementation and execution of annual risk assessment activity across all core financial crime compliance disciplines.
* Ensure effective governance and reporting is in place, including regular KPIs/KRIs and the MLRO annual report.
* Responsible for regulatory reporting obligations including reporting suspicious activities and ownership for breach reporting if required.
* Lead the reporting of annual risk assessment activity across all core financial crime compliance disciplines.
* Design strategy and content for and deliver training across the business covering key topics within the financial crime remit.
* Lead the strategy for stakeholder communications at all levels across Vodafone UK and Vodafone Group.
* Oversee the delivery of strategic action plans to close compliance gaps or deliver improvements required following Monitoring/3rd line Audit findings.
* Interact with senior stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice on sensitive matters with financial crime compliance implications.
Who you are
• Experience working in a similar role in Financial Services, at Manager level, within a financial crime/compliance discipline.
• Proven experience of 2nd line Sanctions/AML/ABC advisory expertise in a business-partnership capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of Sanctions/AML/ABC technology and systems.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience dealing with regulators and other external bodies in the financial crime compliance space.
